Kylie Martin, along with her partner Garry, founded GK Gluten Free Foods in 2009, supplying Australian customers with the very first oats that were uncontaminated by the gluten found in wheat, rye and barley. Kylie’s interest in this product was the result of catering to a family plagued by various special dietary requirements, coupled with a passion for her farming heritage.

Since the beginning, it has been Kylie’s dream to partner with Aussie farmers and offer uncontaminated oats grown right here in Australia. After 13 years of being in business, this dream finally became a reality in 2021 when GF Oats partnered with Australian farmers who specialise in growing and processing oats in a clean, uncontaminated environment, ensuring that they test to nil gluten from wheat, rye and barley. Our signature range of Gloriously Free steamed rolled oats are now proudly sourced from Avena Mills Australian farmers. These are the only oats in Australia that are tested, certified, and guaranteed to meet the strict Australian standards with regards to nil gluten detected from the contamination from wheat, rye or barley. 

Gloriously Free Oats follow the Global Oats Purity Protocol ensuring they are pure oats. Other countries have different labelling requirements around oats, however in Australia, current labelling laws continue to prevent us from labelling these oats as gluten-free oats. All of our oats are tested independently, right here in Australia for contamination at independent laborities.
